Free includes every Matter, Communication type, Evidence capture, Amendment, Unknown, Statement, Conflict, Consumer Action, Timeline, encrypted backup/restore, deletion, and basic Communication Record export - unlimited, always. Founding Pro adds the Professional Review Packet and related professional-report tools. Founding Pro — $29 one-time

Founding Pro is a one-time license for the current Pro feature set, offered during a limited, first-100-purchase commercial learning period. See Founding Pro terms and refund policy.

Matters

A matter is a folder for grouping related communications. It does not change what a communication is or merge anything together.

    Evidence Inbox

Every evidence file you have attached to any communication, in one place. You can associate one piece of evidence with another communication it also supports, without copying the file - the original stays attached to the communication where you first added it. Evidence existing here does not prove anything by itself; it is supporting material, not a conclusion.

Record timeline — ordered by entry time

Every record across every matter, newest entry first. "Entered" is a device-generated timestamp from when you saved it in this Journal - not a verified time anything happened. "Reported event time" is exactly what you typed for when the communication itself happened; it is never parsed, guessed, or used to reorder this list. Entries with the same entry time break ties by record ID, not by any guess about which happened first. This list never merges linked records - a missed call and its voicemail still appear as two separate rows - and never infers a relationship that was not explicitly recorded.

        Saved records

Leave blank for an unprotected backup. If you set a password, write it down somewhere safe: it is not stored anywhere and a forgotten password makes that backup unreadable, permanently.

          Professional Review Packet

Organizes this Matter's chronology, evidence index, statements, unknowns, conflicts, and Consumer Actions into one document for someone else to review - for example, an attorney. It never concludes that a law was broken, states what is owed, or confirms who a caller was; it organizes exactly what you entered. Nothing is sent anywhere automatically. A Founding Pro feature - see the Founding Pro section above.

Matters to include (Download only; defaults to the Matter you're viewing)
            Include in packet

            Record a communication

Nothing is saved until you choose Save record. After saving, add corrections without rewriting your original account.

Approximate is fine. Include your timezone if known.

Existing files only. Up to 20 files, 10 MB each and 25 MB total per record. Files are not uploaded or displayed here. Keep your original copies too.

            Attribution Workbench

Organizes what has been reported, what supports it, and where accounts disagree. It does not decide who someone is, whether a number or address belongs to them, whether they are the same caller as someone else, or whether any law or rule was broken.

Record an unknown or unresolved fact

Open a saved record first, then add what is unknown about it.

            Record a statement

A statement is what was reported or observed, not a verified fact. For example: "The caller identified themselves as Jack," not "The caller is named Jack." Add supporting evidence separately through the Evidence Inbox above; a statement having supporting evidence does not by itself make it proven.

            Reported identities

              Organizations mentioned

                Consumer action claims

                  Unknowns

                    Conflicts

Conflicts are surfaced from statements already recorded, using fixed rules, not inference or scoring. Surfacing a conflict never decides which account, if any, is accurate.

                      Consumer Actions

Record steps you took or reported taking — asking not to be called again, giving or revoking consent, filing a complaint, preparing correspondence. This never records whether any step was legally effective, only what you report doing and what you have supporting material for. Open a saved communication above first to link an action to it, or leave none open to record it on its own.

Unlike the free-text communication date and time above, this field stores an exact value. It is used only to detect two actions of the same type, to the same recipient, that you entered with disagreeing dates — never guessed, inferred, or parsed from anything else.

This is separate from whether you have supporting files below: attaching a file never by itself proves the recipient received or acted on anything.

                      Recorded actions

                        Prepare correspondence

Choose a template, edit it freely, then save it as a prepared correspondence action. It stays "Prepared" until you separately record that you sent it below. CallDossier never sends anything on your behalf, and this draft is not legal advice.

                        Restore a backup

Restore a CallDossier JSON backup, including original files. Existing record IDs are never overwritten. Restore into an empty Journal or another browser when recovering the same records. Maximum 100 records and 100 MB of evidence per Journal; backup file limit 145 MB.

Send product feedback - opens your email client. Never attaches your Journal contents, evidence, license token, or any other browser data automatically.
